Several types of grants are awarded each year by the Foundation. Some are approved through the Foundation's annual competitive grant cycle, which requires submission of an application. Others are in the form of scholarships. Several non-profit organizations have funds at the Foundation which benefit their particular organization. Also, donor-advised funds make grants to area charities at the recommendation of the donor who established the fund (donor-advisors may click on the "Donor Suggestion Form" link on the left-hand side of this page to access and print out a donor suggestion form for their funds). In addition, special funds exist, such as the JPS Education Foundation Trust, a $1 million endowment which funds classroom projects in the Jackson Public School District.
