We’re asking you to join us as Members of the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson by investing in the future of our community.
What is the Community Foundation? It’s a non-profit, public foundation that makes grants in our community to a wide and varied range of other non-profit organizations. Since its inception in 1995, it has granted over $9.6 million in the tri-county area. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Symphony, Stewpot, the Art Museum, Dress for Success—all these and hundreds of other charities receive grants from CFGJ on a regular basis.
Where does the money we grant come from? We encourage donors to consider giving part of their estates back to the community through the Community Trust Fund at the Community Foundation. Then we use this money for ongoing grants.
The Community Foundation and its grants program are guided by a diverse Board of community leaders. You probably know many of them. They all donate money, time and expertise every year because they believe that our community will be stronger if we have a strong community foundation.
Please join them and hundreds of others in the tri-county area by becoming a Member today. Your gift of at least $100 entitles you to attend our fun and informative Annual Membership meeting each fall, and pledges made now can be paid anytime prior to March 31, 2008.
Your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Thank you!
